Ganjar Pranowo: Clean Government Is Still A Homework That Must Be Completed
JAKARTA - The presidential candidate (readpres) Ganjar Pranowo emphasized that building a clean government is still a top priority that has not been completed until now. Ganjar emphasized that this needs to be acknowledged and pursued together.
"The recommendation is that we must become a clean government. I think this is homework that has not been completed to this day," said Ganjar in his presentation at the Indonesian University Alumni Forum entitled 'Ganjar Answers Indonesia's Future Challenges', at The Ballroom XXI Djakarta Theater, Central Jakarta on Sunday 17 September.
Initially, Ganjar highlighted the three pillars for Indonesia's progress, one of which was a government free from corruption. However, according to him, there is still fear to talk about this openly.
"And we are afraid to talk openly, we should start to dare to convey what the clean government is like. So anti-corruption is mandatory," he said.
Ganjar emphasized that education about preventing corruption should start early, even from school.
"Just how to internalize it to us who are already elderly? Then start from the bottom. Start school, if not, then it doesn't happen," added Ganjar.

Previously, at the same event, Ganjar also talked about the welfare of educators in Indonesia. He regretted that the best graduates from 10 state universities in Indonesia rarely chose to become lecturers or teachers.
"I'm not sure if the 10 best graduates from our college want to be lecturers, want to be teachers, I'm not sure," said Ganjar.
In fact, according to him, the role of educators is very important to encourage the progress of Indonesia in the future. Therefore, Ganjar emphasized that educators must get income that is commensurate with their important role.
"And it can only be done with good schools, if the teacher earns well, so if the teacher gets a salary like in a state-owned company or a private company," he concluded.
