UN Affirms Support To Prabowo Without Eviction
PADANG - The Crescent Star Party (PBB) has reiterated its support for Prabowo Subianto to run as a Presidential Candidate in the 2024 General Election (Pemilu) in Padang, West Sumatra (West Sumatra).
This attitude is expressed in a joint commitment agreed by the Regional Leadership Council (DPW) and the Regional Representative Council (DPD) from all provinces in Sumatra, which was witnessed by Prabowo Subianto.
"PBB believes that Prabowo Subianto is a figure worthy of being supported as a presidential candidate in 2024," said UN General Chair Yusril Ihza Mahendra who was present in Padang as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, September 9.
According to him, Prabowo is a leader who is believed to be able to bring Indonesia as a strong country and capable of jumping far forward.
"A leader must know the fundamental problems of the nation, when a person progresses as a presidential candidate, he must be asked what he can do, and we think Prabowo can answer that in order to advance the nation," he explained.
In front of thousands of cadres and sympathizers who attended Yusril invited the United Nations to unite to support and win the former Commander General of the Special Forces Command.
Yusril, who is said to be one of Prabowo's vice candidates in the 2024 presidential election, also emphasized that the UN is a loyal party.
"The PBB will consistently support it, it will not dodge anywhere. We will be a loyal and trustworthy coalition," he said.
He further explained that the United Nations is a Modernist Islamic party whose thoughts are straight and "to the point", every decision is made based on deliberation and negotiations, then the decision is firmly held.
Yusri also emphasized that the United Nations firmly expressed support for Prabowo, so that cadres should not have other opinions so that the party is not divided.

Meanwhile, Prabowo in his political speech admitted that he was touched by the support provided by the United Nations for him.
"I feel touched and heartened that the United Nations still provides support and confidence to run as a presidential candidate in 2024," he explained.
