Indonesian Delegation At UNESCO Global Geoparks 2023 Is Safe During The Morocco Earthquake
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kemlu) said there was no information stating that Indonesian citizens (WNI) were victims of the Moroccan earthquake. The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) in Rabat has checked.
Until now there has been no information about the victims of Indonesian citizens, as quoted from a written statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Saturday, September 9.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also revealed that the Indonesian delegation in Marakesh who was participating in The 10th International Conference on UNESCO Global Geoparks 2023 was monitored to be safe. This assurance was obtained after coordinating with local authorities and the Indonesian community.
Furthermore, the Indonesian Embassy in Rabat continues to monitor the situation and coordinate with various parties regarding the possibility of Indonesian citizens being affected. Currently, there are around 500 Indonesian citizens living in Morocco.
