The Flight Of Syamsudin Noor Airport Is Normal Even Though It Is Covered With Smoke

BANJARMASIN - Flight at Syamsudin Noor International Airport Banjarmasin in Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan, Saturday was running normally even though it was still shrouded in smoke due to the impact of forest and land fires (karhutla).

Throughout the morning before noon, there were six flights departing from Banjarmasin to various destinations, four of which were to Soekarno Hatta International Airport in Tangerang, Banten.

Then one destination to Juanda International Airport Surabaya and the other to Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman Sepinggan International Airport, Balikpapan, East Kalimantan.

Iwan admitted that the smog this morning was not as thick as yesterday, Friday (8/9), which caused a number of flights to be delayed.

He hopes that this better condition can be maintained so that airport operations can run normally.

It is known, since the forest and land fires have become worse, especially in the city of Banjarbaru and its surrounding areas, the smog has started to disrupt flights at Syamsudin Noor Airport in recent weeks, especially in the morning.

Although efforts to extinguish the fire have also been carried out, even deploying water boom helicopters belonging to the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), in fact, hotspots continue to emerge every day burning empty lands this dry season.
