Album In Utero Rereleased In Luxury Format: There Are 53 Langka Songs That Have Not Been Published
JAKARTA - The record label Geffen/UMe commemorates the 30th anniversary of Nirvana's third studio album, In Utero with several multi-format reissues, which will be released on October 27, 2023.
The configuration includes a limited edition 8LP Super Deluxe box set, 5CD Super Deluxe box set, 1 LP+10 edition, Deluxe 2CD edition, and Super Deluxe Digital issue.
Three Super Deluxe Edition releases consist of a total of 72 songs with 53 previously unreleased songs.
Among the unreleased material, two full In Utero-era concerts, namely Live In Los Angeles (1993) and the band's last performance in Seattle, Live In Seattle (1994), were included in addition to six live song bonuses from Roma, Springfield, and New York.
Seattle producer and engineer Jack Endino who handled Nirvana's debut album Bleach in 1988 reconstructed live tracks from stereo soundboard tapes for re-uploading this year. In addition, twelve original songs in In Utero, along with five bonuses and side-B songs, were recently remastered from original analog stereo master tapes by Bob Weston at the Chicago Mastering Services which helped Albini as the only other engineering in the original session.
