Ministry Of PUPR: IKN Project Absorbs 9,713 Local Workers, No Foreign Workers
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) through the Task Force for the Implementation of IKN Infrastructure Development said that the Nusantara National Capital (IKN) development project had absorbed 9,713 local workers.
Head of the IKN Infrastructure Development Implementing Task Force Danis H. Sumadilaga said that 2,649 of the total construction workers at IKN were local workers from Kalimantan. While the remaining 7,064 people came from outside Kalimantan.
"I will explain that the 9,700 are in the field, even though for example there are also several thousand in Java who are preparing precast factories, then also for example in material sources in West Sulawesi, Central Sulawesi, that is what we are not monitoring," said the Head of the Task Force (Task Force) Implementing IKN Infrastructure Development Danis H. Sumadilaga when met at the PUPR Ministry Building, quoted Monday, August 21.
Danis also ensured that the IKN big project did not involve foreign construction workers, from China, as was busy on social media before.
"Nothing. I make sure there are no (foreign construction workers), all local. There are no Chinese foreign workers (TKA), all of that is hoax," he said.
