How To Be Protected From Wi-Fi Access Leakage?
JAKARTA - Kaspersky's latest research found that in addition to deleting various types of personal files such as photos, videos, or documents, it turns out that breaking internet network access from your device is equally important.
According to the global cybersecurity company, with access to the Wi-Fi network, hackers can steal photos or other documents on mobile phones on the same network.
To that end, Kaspersky has revealed several ways to protect you from Wi-Fi leaks, including:
Reset and delete. The clearest safety step is to remove the settings from all devices before separating from them. After resetting, open the network settings and make sure everything is completely lost and then reset it again.
Changing Wi-Fi settings. This method is indeed a bit complicated, but reliable and not too difficult technically. After deleting the device, change the Wi-Fi network password and update the settings on all your other devices. When changing it, make a password randomly compared to just adding a number or letter at the end.

Strict access control. Every device connected to Wi-Fi has its own network access rights. Configurate the following so that unknown and newly connected devices are completely isolated and prohibited from getting internet access.
When throwing away or selling the device, make sure to isolate it in the router settings not just delete it from the list. Then, even if the attacker tries to connect to the router via the stolen credentials, access will not be granted.
