SOLO - On Monday, August 7, the Surakarta City Police Traffic Unit began implementing a new regulation on the practice test material for two-wheeled vehicles requesting a driving license (SIM) C to make it easier for people to get a driver's license, in Solo, Central Java.

"In accordance with the new regulations directed by the Head of the Traffic Police Corps (Kakorlantas) of the National Police, the changes are related to the two-wheeled practice test of the SIM C applicant, which originally had five items and now it is four items," said the Head of the Surakarta Police Traffic Unit, Kompol Agung Yudiawan, in Solo, Saturday.

According to Agung Yudiawan, four new regulatory items for the two-wheeled SIM C practice test, namely the first straight road, the second turning or turning around, the third letter S, the fourth letter Y. The two-wheeled practice test of the SIM C applicant will be treated starting Monday (7/8).

"So the two-wheeled SIM C practice test which originally used the number 8 line has been deleted and replaced with the letter S, then the zigzag track has also been deleted. However, this practice test, without reducing or eliminating the ability of expertise in driving from applicants to get a driver's license," Agung said as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, August 5.

According to him, in addition to removing the two tracks, a number of changes were also implemented, namely accommodating a wider track size, then adding driving test material.

"The two-wheeled SIM C practice test is only treated to new applicants for SIM C, while the applicant for SIM C extension is not," he said.

He hopes that by being treated by a new regulation, the two-wheeled SIM C practice test will make it easier for applicants in the SIM application, without reducing the skills and skills of drivers in driving later.

In addition, the public or applicants can immediately participate in the practice test in the application for capacity through brokers or third parties.

He conveyed that the change in the new material for the two-wheeled SIM C practice test was because many people felt that the practice exam was too difficult. People find it difficult, so the practice test is renewed.

"The new applicant for driver's license at the Surakarta Police Traffic Unit serves an average of 400 applicants per week. We will see later after the SIM C practice exam, this new model will there be an increase," he said.

He also hopes that the applicant in the SIM extension can apply for registration for a minimum grace period of two weeks after the expiration period can take care of it. Because, if the applicant is late, the driver's license treatment period will return with a new application or look for a new driver's license.
