The First Unit Of The 2024 Grand Highlander Will Enter The US Market Soon
Toyota officially introduced the Grand Highlander 2024 large SUV on the Chicago Auto Show, February 2023 and the latest news on the inaugural unit of the SUV will soon enter the US dealers.
The three-line SUV is produced at a plant owned by Toyota in Indiana, USA. This is in line with previous plans that the 2024 Grand Highlander will be launched on the market this summer.
Not only offering a wide and spacious space, the 2024 Grand Highlander is presented as a premium three-line SUV with a number of features and conveniences that make it reliable for travel with family.
Reporting from Motor1, Wednesday, August 2, Toyota Grand Highlander is able to accommodate up to eight passengers by providing comfort both on the highway and off-road.
There is a refresh in the design, especially in the bottom goal which has a striking width, accompanied by the upper light and a slightly lifted midline, giving the car a strong and strong impression.
This latest Grand Highlander is available in three variants, including two hybrid versions. For the gasoline version, it comes with a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine capable of generating up to 265 hp of power, and is offered in trim XLE, Limited, and Platinum.
Meanwhile, in the hybrid variant, there is a 2.5 liter 4-cylinder non-turbo engine option that produces up to 245 hp of power. The top variant with the same engine as the gasoline version can produce a maximum of up to 362 hp.
It is known that the Indiana plant has been in operation since 2021 with an investment of around 803 million US dollars. Apart from Grand Highlander, the factory will also produce another luxury SUV, namely Lexus TX, which uses the same platform.
As a competitor to the Hyundai Palisade in the US, the price of the Grand Highlander starts at 43,070 US dollars or around Rp653.8 million for the initial variant, XLE, and reaches a price of 58,125 US dollars or equivalent to Rp882.1 million for the top variant, the Hybrid MAX Platinum.
