Elon Musk And Linda Yaccarino Will Directly Supervise Security Teams On Platform X

JAKARTA - The owner of company X, Elon Musk, and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Linda Yaccarino will oversee the security and trust team in the company previously known as Twitter. This was conveyed by the social media company on Monday, July 31.

The product and engineering team X will report directly to Musk, while Yaccarino will oversee all other divisions, including human resources, law, finance, sales, and operations.

The security and trust team, which is responsible for content moderation, has been the focus of criticism of the platform after Musk acquired the company in October last year. Researchers have accused X of weakening content security restrictions, which led to a dangerous postal spike. The company has said that the majority of content display is a "healthy post."

In an email to employee X on Monday, which was shared with Reuters, Yaccarino said the company was looking for a new leader for brand security and suitability.

Former brand security chief, AJ Brown, who works to prevent ads from appearing next to inappropriate content, left the company last month.

Yaccarino stated in the email that the three leaders X will oversee different responsibilities within the security and trust team, including law enforcement operations and threat disruptions. Changes in this security and trust team came after Ella Irwin stepped down as team head in June.
