Menparekraf Sandiaga: Investment In Lake Toba Capai Rp600 Billion
Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno said that currently investment in Lake Toba super priority tourism destinations (DPSP), North Sumatra has reached Rp600 billion.
"The ongoing green investment is that in Lake Toba there is an investment value of IDR 600 billion for several hotels," Sandiaga said in The Weekly Brief with Sandi Unodilan ANTARA, Monday, July 24.
Meanwhile, based on the data presented, for the realization value of tourism investment in Mandalika destinations, NTB in 2021-2023 in the second quarter, which came from domestic investors (PMD) and foreign investors (PMA) reached 541.2 million US dollars. Followed by the Likupang destination, North Sulawesi reached 484.29 million US dollars.
Then for the Borobudur Temple destination, Central Java reached 366.63 million US dollars and Labuan Bajo, NTT recorded an investment realization of 114.2 million US dollars.
Sandiaga also said that his party would make a program so that investment could be disbursed evenly in five super priority tourism destinations (DPSP).
"We want to make a program, so that investment is evenly distributed in five DPSPs," he said.

The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy previously targeted an investment into Indonesia of US$6-8 billion or around Rp. 89 trillion - Rp. 119 trillion (assuming Rp. 14,900 per US dollar) for the parekraf sector, so as to create 4.4 million new jobs in 2024.
"If it is aggregated 6-8 billion US dollars and the jobs that can be created are for (target) 4.4 million jobs that we want to create in the next few years," he said.
