Case Of TIP Mode Selling Human Organs, Majority Of Suspects Are Former Donors
JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya arrested 12 suspects in the Cambodian network trafficking crime case (TPPO) that sold human organs. Of the dozens of suspects, the majority are donors.
"Of the 12 suspects, 10 are part of a syndicate, of which 9 are former donors," said Director of General Criminal Investigation at the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Hengki Haryadi, to reporters, Thursday, July 20.
Then, another suspect named Hanim. He acts as a liaison for transactions in Indonesia and Cambodia.
"Then there is the overall coordinator on behalf of suspect H, Hanim, this connects Indonesia and Cambodia," he said.
"Indonesian coordinator on behalf of Septian, then especially those serving in Cambodia who connect hospitals," continued Hengki.
Meanwhile, the two officers who were also arrested were Aipda M and A. Both of them helped hinder the investigation process.
"Aipda M, this is a member who tries to prevent, obstruct, either directly or indirectly the investigation process carried out by the joint team," said Hengki.

Previously reported, Polda Metro Jaya revealed a criminal case of trafficking in persons (TPPO) of the Cambodian network that sells human organs. From the disclosure, 12 people were named as suspects, one of whom was a member of the National Police.
"Until today, the team has detained 12 suspects," said Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Karyoto.
From the suspect's class, it was recorded that 9 of them were Indonesian citizens (WNI). They play a role in finding andccommodating victims.
"Details of 9 domestic syndicate suspects who play a role in recruiting, accommodating, taking care of the victim's journey and so on," said Karyoto.
