South Tangerang Police Chief Apologizes Members Release Suspects Of Domestic Violence To Escape To Bandung

TANGERANG - South Tangerang Police Chief, AKBP Faisal Febrianto apologized because his party had released Budyanto Djauhari (38), the perpetrator of domestic violence (KDRT) who abused his wife at Serpong Park Housing, South Tangerang.

"On this occasion, I as the South Tangerang Police Chief and the investigators' superiors apologize to all of them. Of course we will evaluate the performance of investigators in the future, I think so," Faisal told reporters at the South Tangerang Police, Tuesday, July 18.

According to the Police Chief, at that time Budyanto had not met the terms of detention because it was not included in the category of serious injuries.

Furthermore, after his party received the results of the post-mortem, the police named Budyanto as a suspect for the abuse. Moreover, the victim is pregnant.

"(First release) For the confidence of our investigators, we urge expert testimony that the wound is seriously injured or lightly. That's why we wear the guarantee that the suspect's parents must report it," he said.
