BPK Find Weaknesses In SPI Police Financial Reports FY 2022
JAKARTA - The Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) found weaknesses in the internal control system (SPI) and the problem of non-compliance with the provisions of the legislation in the Financial Report (LK) of the Indonesian National Police (Polri) for the 2022 Fiscal Year (TA).
"The weakness of the SPI includes errors in budgeting for procurement activities, so that the realization of capital expenditures and goods expenditures in the budget realization report (LRA) does not describe the actual conditions," said BPK Member I Nyoman Adhi Suryadnyana when submitting the Examination Result Report (LHP) on the 2022 National Police LK to the Head of Police Listyo Sigit Prabowo, quoted from Antara, Sunday.
In addition, BPK also found weaknesses in the direct use of non-tax state revenues (PNBP) without going through the state revenue and expenditure budget mechanism for security and escort services by mobile brigade units in the regional police.
Furthermore, his party also found problems with non-compliance with the provisions of laws and regulations in the management of state finances.
"One of these problems is the overpayment of work sourced from spending on goods and services as well as capital expenditures," said BPK Main Auditor of State Finance I Akhsanul Khaq.
Basically, he continued, the National Police Chief and his staff have the same commitment as the BPK in realizing accountable financial governance.

To achieve this, BPK is said to be increasing synergies with the internal government supervisory apparatus (APIP), namely the National Police's General Supervision Inspectorate (Itwasum), as a strategic partner to carry out the constitutional duties of the BPK in examining the management and responsibility of state finances.
"In the future, it is hoped that the Itwasum Polri can play an optimal role in improving the system so that implementers in managing finances and state goods can act more accountablely, transparently, and comply with the applicable laws and regulations. If this is consistently done, then the problem of repeated problems due to system weaknesses can be minimized," he said.
The National Police is also expected to be able to optimize APIP's role through audit, review, evaluation, assistance, and advisory activities for more effective system improvements, as well as prevent irregularities and repeated findings.
