NTT Police Name 5 Corruption Suspects For TTS Hospital Project

KUPANG - The East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police (Polda) have named five suspects in the corruption case of the construction of the Boking Primary Hospital (RSP) in South Central Timor Regency, Timor Island.

"We have named five people as suspects in the corruption case in the construction of the Pratama Boking Hospital, both from the government and the private sector," said NTT Police Chief Inspector General Johni Asadoma as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, July 13.

The Kapolda conveyed this related to the development of handling corruption cases in the construction of the Boking Hospital in South Central Timor Regency.

The five suspects, each with the initials BY as Commitment Making Officer (PPK), GA as development planner consultant, MX as Director of PT TBJA, AFL as flag borrower of PT TBJA, and HD as development supervisor consultant.

Asadoma said the five suspects had been named but had not yet been detained.

"Until now, he has not been detained because he has just been named a suspect. As soon as possible, we will take action to detain him," he said.

Based on the results of the examination of witnesses, expert documents/certificates, and audit reports of state financial losses, it was found that there was a loss of irregularities that caused state financial losses of Rp. 16.5 billion.

The construction of the Boking RSP is a 2017 budget year project at the South Central Timor Regency Health Office with project value from the Special Allocation Fund (DAK) and the General Allocation Fund (DAU) amounting to Rp17.8 billion.

"There (the use of funds) is indeed a procedural error," he said.

The police are still developing the case so that it is possible that there will be other suspects.

"Now there are five suspects but it is possible that there will be other suspects," he said.
