The Robber Of Rp70 Million Who Shot A Trader In Bukittingi Was Hunted By The Police
BUKITTINGGI - A trader in Bukittinggi, West Sumatra, named Wirman (48) was shot in the right chest by a group of armed robbers on Jalan Adinegoro Simpang Excellent Tangah Jua Bukittinggi.
"The incident is suspected of being a criminal act of theft with violence against a trader," Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Bukittinggi Police, AKP Fetrizald, followed by ANTARA, Wednesday, July 12.
The victim, a trader at Bukittinggi Aur Kuning Market, was stopped while riding a motorbike. The victim was immediately pointed at a gun.
From the testimony of witnesses, said AKP Fetrizal, the perpetrator was suspected of being more than one person. There were two shots, one bullet hit the victim's upper right chest.
In fact, the perpetrator had pointed a firearm at the witnesses at the location who wanted to help the victim.
One of the perpetrators carried a motorcycle belonging to the victim, which contained approximately Rp70 million in his seat.
According to the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit, the victim's house was not far from the location. After the incident, the witness who was at the location took the victim to the Madina Hospital, then referred to Achmad Muchtar Hospital.
The police immediately went to the incident and coordinated with the victim's family to make a police report to the Bukittinggi Police.
"We immediately conducted an investigation to find the perpetrator. We are currently investigating and checking the field and looking for evidence of surveillance cameras to track down the perpetrators," said AKP Fetrizal.

The police do not know for sure the number of perpetrators. The incident caused a stir among the residents of Bukittinggi City and its surroundings because it was widely spread through social media.
"Ngeri Bukittinggi, has been shooting. Hopefully the victim will be healthy again," said one of the residents of Bundel Helwina.
Another resident, Hasnah, hopes that the robbers will be caught by the police soon.
