Al Zaytun Disgrace, Mahfud Reveals His Settlement Using Legal Approach, Educational And Security Administration
Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam) Mahfud MD emphasized the resolution of polemics related to Al Zaytun Islamic Boarding School (Ponpes) through three approaches.
Mahfud explained that the three approaches were related to legal issues, education administration issues, and security issues.
"Anyway, the solution is three approaches. One legal problem will be resolved by the Police, then the problem of administrative education will be continuously fostered and monitored," he said at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, Monday, June 3, which was confiscated by Antara.
Mahfud continued, "Furthermore, security concerns, because there are social problems, there are political problems with a few of them, resolved by the Governor of West Java, Mr. Ridwan Kamil with the vertical apparatus."
According to him, there is nothing specifically to convey regarding the development of the handling of the Al Zaytun Islamic Boarding School, including the question of summoning the boarding school caregiver by the Criminal Investigation Police on suspicion of blasphemy.
Meanwhile, investigators from the Directorate of General Crimes (Dittipidum) of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police stated that there was no confirmation regarding the presence of the caretaker of the Al Zaytun Panji Gumilang Islamic Boarding School for clarification purposes.
In handling the Al Zaytun Islamic Boarding School case, Bareskrim processed quickly in accordance with instructions from the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD.
Bareskrim received two police reports related to allegations of blasphemy by the caregiver of Al Zaytun Islamic Boarding School. The report was filed by the Central Leadership Council of the Pancasila Defenders Advocate Forum (DPP FAPP) against Panji Gumilang on Friday 23 June and Ken Setiawan from the NICC Center on Tuesday 27 June.
