Gibran Donates Turtles To The Solo Safari Animal Collection
Surakarta Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka donated turtles to add a collection of animals at the Solo Safari tourist attraction.
"There is a turtle grant from Mas Wali and Mas Ethes (Jan Ethes, Red.) for Solo Safari. We moved it from Loji Gandrung to Solo Safari, there are 27 Sulcata types," said General Manager Solo Safari Shinta Aditya as reported by ANTARA, Friday, June 30.
The existence of these animals adds to exciting activities for visitors, especially children.
"They can get to know the turtles further, there is feed (feeding animals) there too," he said.
Meanwhile, during the holiday season this time the number of visitors to the tourist attraction reached 3,000-4,000 visitors/day for Monday-Friday and 6,000 visitors/day on Saturday and Sunday.
"The increase is significant, around 40-50 percent (compared to outside the holiday season, Red.)," he said.
He said that since the opening until now the number of tabil visitors has reached 60,000-70,000 visitors per month.
Previously, at its opening, Solo Safari was equipped with a collection of 87 animal species, with a total of more than 300 animals.
In phase two where the work begins in July 2023 there will be an increase in the number of animals.
Some of the animals that will be imported in phase two include tigers, crocodiles, and kudanil.
