Eid Al-Adha, Ministry Of Social Affairs Distributes Kurban Meat For 1,850 Mustahik
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) distributed sacrificial meat to 1,850 Mustahik or beneficiaries on Eid al-Adha 1444 H/2023.
Daily Executive Secretary General of the Ministry of Social Affairs Robben Rico stated that Eid was a momentum to reflect on the high quality of the taqwa of Prophet Ibrahim AS who carried out Allah's order to slaughter the Prophet Ismail AS.
Besides the dimension of taqwa, Eid is also of the social dimension because the sacrificial meat is distributed to the poor.
"Eiduladha is our momentum to emulate the example given by Prophet Ibrahim AS. Sacrifice also has a social dimension, because by distributing meat we have empathized with our other brothers and sisters. Sacrifice is the most important part of our lives so that we can help each other and ease the burden on others," he said in a written statement, quoted Friday, June 30.
The Ministry of Social Affairs staff held Eid prayers in the courtyard of the Ministry of Social Affairs Office with employees, employees and local residents. Acting as imam are Ahmad Sobari and Khatib Muhtadin.
After the Eid prayer, the sacrificial animals were handed over to the sacrificial committee. The Al-Hikmah Mosque Sacrifice Committee within the Ministry of Social Affairs received 16 cows, two goats and one sheep as sacrificial animals. For slaughter, the committee handed over to the Slaughterhouse (RPH) in Tapos, West Java.
The sacrificial meat is distributed to those who are entitled (mustahik), including the Social Welfare Institution (LKS) which is a priority.
The sacrificial meat will also be distributed to Non-Civil Servant Government Employees (PPNPN), cleaning and security officers within the Ministry of Social Affairs, ASN friends of the Ministry of Social Affairs Group I and II, residents around the office, and friends who are in the Social Welfare Institution (LKS).
Chairman of the Kumala Foundation, Dindin Komarudin, expressed his gratitude for being able to be entrusted with distributing sacrificial meat to their inmates. He said the shipment from the Ministry of Social Affairs made him happy.
"Alhamdulillah, we received a shipment of sacrificial meat from the Ministry of Social Affairs. We will distribute it to our 267 inmates in North Jakarta. Our construction consists of a community of street children, communities with disabilities and the elderly community," he said.
