6 AP I Airports Departure 107,000 Prospective Hajj Pilgrims
JAKARTA PT Angkasa Pura I through six airports managed has served 107,222 prospective pilgrims. The congregation is part of 282 Flying Groups (Kloter) on Hajj Pilgrims Air Transport (Angkutan Hajj) from 2023 for the period May 24 to June 23.
Temporary Substitute Officer (PGS) President Director of PT Angkasa Pura I Lukman F. Laisa said that during this year's Hajj Transport season, Angkasa Pura I has prepared six airports as embarkation airports.
The six airports are Adi Soemarmo Airport Solo, Juanda Airport Surabaya, Sultan Hasanuddin Airport Makassar, SAMS Sepinggan Airport Balikpapan, Syamsudin Noor Airport Banjarmasin, and Zainuddin Abdul Madjid Airport Lombok.

This year, said Lukman, prospective pilgrims served by Angkasa Pura I airport will reach approximately 51 percent of the total prospective Indonesian Hajj pilgrims who reach 209,782 prospective Hajj pilgrims.
"We can also convey that the number of prospective pilgrims served by 6 Angkasa Pura I airports has increased by 129 percent compared to 2022, which is 46,881 prospective pilgrims," said Lukman.
During the embarkation period from May 24 to June 23, Juanda Airport Surabaya was recorded as the airport of Angkasa Pura I which served the departure of the most prospective pilgrims, namely 38,275 prospective Hajj pilgrims who were members of 88 clusters.
Following in second place is Adi Soemarmo Airport Solo with 35,273 prospective Hajj pilgrims who are members of 99 clusters, and in third place is Sultan Hasanuddin Airport Makassar with 16,866 prospective Hajj pilgrims who are members of 43 groups.
Meanwhile, SAMS Sepinggan Balikpapan Airport serves 6,101 prospective Hajj pilgrims who are members of 21 groups, Syamsudin Noor Airport serves 5,708 prospective Hajj pilgrims who are members of 18 groups, and Lombok International Airport serves 4,999 prospective Hajj pilgrims who are members of 13 groups.
Angkasa Pura I also noted that there were 59 prospective pilgrims who canceled their departure with causing factors, including illness, physical condition of prospective pilgrims, incomplete documents, and prospective pilgrims who died.
"After overseeing the departure of prospective Hajj pilgrims, now we focus on serving debarkation flights which will start from July 4 to August 3. In particular, we ensure the readiness of airport supporting infrastructure," he said.
Not only that, said Lukman, his party also made several adjustments related to operations. Among them are adjustments to airport operating hours and adjustments to operational personnel.
"We are committed to being able to provide the best service for the smooth departure and return of Hajj pilgrims, in accordance with the principles of safety, security, and service," he concluded.
