2 Thieves Of Tens Of Kg Of Alpukat In Lampung Were Enraged By The Crowd, One Died
LAMPUNG - The police are still investigating the case of a mob that resulted in the death of one of the two suspected thieves of avocado fruit, in Marga Sekampung, East Lampung.
East Lampung Police Chief AKBP M Rizal Muchtar explained the two suspects who stole the avocado fruit, each with the initials SW (36) and SR (35) residents of Girimulyo Village, Marga Sekampung District.
The incident began when IW (34), a resident of Jabung Subdistrict, met two suspects, who were about to leave his plantation area, and allegedly brought a basket containing tens of kilograms of avocado.
When asked and examined the contents of the basket by IW, the two suspects objected and instead withdrew a sharp weapon of the type of machete, resulting in an argument.
Not long after, residents arrived and there was a mass attack. The two suspects were injured, and resulted in one suspect with the initials SW finally dying when he was about to be taken to the hospital.

The police, who received information related to the incident, immediately went to the scene, to carry out a legal process.
"In addition to continuing to ask witnesses for statements, the police have also secured evidence in the form of a Yamaha motorcycle, a basket containing 50 kg of avocado, sharp sickle weapons and machetes," he explained as quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, June 25.
The police asked all parties to maintain regional conditions, and entrust the handling of the case to law enforcement officials.
"This case has been handled by the Marga Sekampung Police and the East Lampung Police Criminal Investigation Unit Team," he added.
