Gerindra Asks Cadres To Fight 'All Out' To Raise Support For The Party And Prabowo Subianto

JAKARTA - Secretary General (Secretary General) of the Gerindra Party Ahmad Muzani asked cadres to fight hard to garner support for the party and the prospective presidential candidate (candidate) Prabowo Subianto.

"The way to fight for Gerindra to win the 2024 General Election by garnering neighbor support. Tell neighbors for the next 50 houses, back, right and left," he said in Jakarta, Saturday.

The way of fighting was conveyed by Muzani at a consolidation meeting of thousands of Gerindra witnesses from three sub-districts in East Jakarta.

The next way to fight is by maintaining behavior in society, being an example for the community and explaining well and politely, for people who are not happy with Prabowo and Gerindra.

"If there is good news about Prabowo and Gerindra, please spread it," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, June 10.

He also asked to use gadgets as a means of new struggle through air warfare. He advised the cadres to remain calm, there is no need for grupsu gratuities, because the election is still eight months left.

Meanwhile, the chairman of the Election Winning Body (Bappilu) of the Gerindra Party, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, advised cadres to intensify ground attacks by tapping on the doors of residents' houses.

"Convey messages from Prabowo Subianto and the Gerindra Party," he said.

Dasco requested that the cadres who will be witnesses at the polling stations (TPS) remain enthusiastic, even though there are cadres who leave the party and move to other parties. "It takes greatness of life and cohesiveness," he said.

During the meeting, the lottery distributed cash totaling hundreds of millions of rupiah and several motorbikes.

To note, registration for presidential and vice-presidential candidates is scheduled for October 19 to November 25, 2023.

Based on Law Number 7 of 2017 concerning Elections (UU Pemilu), pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates are proposed by political parties or coalitions of political parties participating in the election who meet the requirements for obtaining seats of at least 20 percent of the total seats in the DPR or obtaining 25 percent of valid votes nationally in the previous election for members of the DPR.

Currently, there are 575 seats in parliament, so that the pairs of presidential and vice-presidential candidates in the 2024 presidential election must have at least 115 seats in the DPR RI. It is also possible that the candidate pairs can be promoted by political parties or a combination of political parties participating in the 2019 Election with a total valid vote acquisition of at least 34,992,703 votes.
