Higher Than National, State Budget Surplus In DKI Jakarta Is IDR 494 Trillion
The Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) stated that the realization of the APBN in the DKI Jakarta region recorded a surplus of IDR 494.2 trillion in April 2023.
Head of the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Treasury of the Ministry of Finance of DKI Jakarta Province, Mei Ling, said that until last month the receipts that were achieved were IDR 646.9 trillion.
"Equivalent to spending absorption of IDR 152.6 trillion, which made a surplus of IDR 494.2 trillion until last April," he said in a press release today, Friday, May 26.
According to Ling, the last inflation rate in DKI Jakarta was 0.40 percent month to month (mtm). Meanwhile, for the current year (year to date/ytd) from January to April 2023, inflation was recorded at 1.04 percent. Then for year on year (yoy) inflation of 3.69 percent.
"The annual inflation development in DKI Jakarta shows better performance when compared to several cities in Java, such as Surabaya (5.64 percent) and Bandung (4.17 percent), and is still below the national inflation rate (4.33 percent)," he said.
Ling added that DKI Jakarta's economic and fiscal performance until last month also fostered optimism for a stronger economic recovery.
"This result is very good for supporting the national economy, but we are still wary of global risks. State revenue is experiencing growth in almost all components. In addition, state spending continues to be optimized to support the real role of the state budget for the community," he stressed.
Previously, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani had explained the realization of the State Budget as of April 2023 with a surplus book of IDR 234.7 trillion or equivalent to 1.12 percent of Indonesia's Gross Domestic Product (GDP). This score is obtained from higher state revenues of IDR 1,000.5 trillion compared to expenditures of IDR 765.8 trillion.
