Ganjar Invites Community And Forest Farmers Groups To Reforestation

Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo collaborated with forestry instructors and forest farming groups in carrying out reforestation which had a direct impact on the survival of the environment.

"We invite this collaboration of extensions, we invite community groups, we invite volunteers so that we have a movement on how we can reforestation the forests. We hope that later the river flow will run smoothly," he said in front of hundreds of forest extensions in Central Java and forest farmer groups in Kembang Park, Kembangangit Village, Batang Regency, quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 24.

Ganjar explained that Batang Regency is an area in Central Java that has a green open space (RTH) and quite a lot of natural tourism, but is adjacent to many factories and industries.

This, he continued, made the government, society, entrepreneurs and all stakeholders have to strengthen the synergy to balance these conditions.

The number one person within the scope of the Central Java Provincial Government encourages the planting and maintenance of trees in mountainous areas with hard plants, such as pine trees, mahoganies, dudaria and eucalyptus to prevent flooding.

In addition, Ganjar also noted to factories that have waste disposal to protect water treatment water treatment areas so that rivers are not polluted.

"This river flow will not only talk about the plants, you know, there are springs that we have to protect, we also educate waste factories, don't litter before using water treatment," he said.

On that occasion, Ganjar also symbolically handed over assistance to extension workers and forest farmer groups, including the Ngupoyo Kudu Forest Farmers Group amounting to Rp124 million, KUPS Wono Lestari Rp80 million, KUPS Lestari Makmur Rp70 million, KUPS Wono Makmur Rp70 million, and KUPS Gondangsari Rp70 million.
