SAR Team Searches For 2 Girl Drowning In Sukabumi Cimandiri River
SUKABUMI - The joint Search and Rescue (SAR) team is searching for two girls who drowned in the Cimandiri River, Sukabumi Regency, West Java.
"We have instructed five personnel to assist the joint SAR team in the SAR operation at the disaster site in the Cimandiri River, precisely in Tegaldatar Village, Cibatu Village, Cikembar District," said Head of the Sukabumi Regency Regional SAR Coordination Forum (FKSD) Okih Pajri quoted by ANTARA, Friday, May 19.
According to the information gathered, the two children who drowned in the Cimandiri River were known to have the initials NMI (8) and ALZ (8) whose houses were not far from the location where the two victims were carried by the river and drowned.
Prior to the incident, two victims played with three of their colleagues around the Cimandiri River. However, suddenly it rained heavily so that the river current became heavy and the volume of the water rose.
Allegedly, the two victims were swept away by the current of the Cimandiri River and then carried away and finally drowned. Three of the victim's colleagues immediately went home and reported this incident to their parents and local residents.
However, due to fear and trauma, the three victims' colleagues could not be questioned further.
