Inviting The Community To Fight Social Engineering, BRI Holds A "Alang AjaGak" Campaign
Jakarta PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BRI invites customers and the public to fight the crimes that are most common today, namely social engineering or soceng.
This is a crime that manipulates the victim's psychology to leak personal data and data on victims' banking transactions. The media used by the perpetrators to approach the victim also varies, ranging from telephone, SMS, e-mail, social media, and others.
As a form of effort to fight Soceng and educate customers, BRI launched a campaign video "BilangAjaGak" which aired May 10, 2023 on the Youtube channel of Bank BRI and Instagram @bankbri_id.
BRI Corporate Secretary Aestika Oryza Gunarto revealed, BRI presents a video education entitled "BilangAjaGak" which is a form of action to fight soceng.
"This content contains a narrative to firmly say 'NO' to all modes of banking fraud," he said. Through this campaign, it is hoped that public awareness and vigilance will increase, especially in recognizing the modes and practices of soceng," he said in an official statement, Saturday, May 13.
The #BilangAjaGak video tells the story of a director starring Abimana Aryasatya casting to find a con artist with the mode Social Engineering.
In the video, it can be seen how the fraudsters show various modes to deceive the victim. Starting from the mode of wedding invitations, lottery prizes, to the threat of increasing transfer rates.
However, all fraud modes are easily broken, as easy as BilangAjaGak so that the director cannot be deceived by all existing fraud modes. The director also advised that various new modes of fraud will continue to emerge, but as long as we keep the data confidential, we remain safe.
Through this video, BRI continues to invite and educate the entire community to always be aware of the new fraud mode.
"The main message conveyed is, 'Don't be easily influenced, or complacent with the mode. Take care of yourself, take care of your family, and others!' concluded Aestika.
