Jakarta Bhayangkara Precision Volleyball Team Brings Optimism To AVC 2023 In Bahrain
JAKARTA The Jakarta Bhayangkara Precision (JBP) volleyball team brings optimism when leaving for Bahrain to participate in the 2023 Asian Men's Volleyball Championship (AVC) representing Indonesia.
The championship will take place in Bahrain 14-21 May 2023. Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi went there with the capital of a number of Indonesian national team players and was officially released at Mutiara Auditorium PTIK, South Jakarta, Thursday, May 11 evening.
Chairman of the Central Board of the Indonesian Volleyball Association (PBVSI) Imam Sudjarwo said he had high hopes for this team. He is also optimistic that JBP can give the best for Indonesia.
What is certain is that first we have to be optimistic. Why can we be optimistic? Because [the team] is extraordinary. They are trained in the Proliga for four months. Then preparations for the 2023 Cambodian SEA Games," he said.
"That means that their individual abilities are ripe. So, of course, the quality has improved. We can also see other maps. Of the 16 teams we know their map of strength. So, I am optimistic that it will perform well," he added.
To face the event above, JBP received additional intake and reshuffles in the coaching sector to its athletes. The 2023 Proliga runner-up team even received additional Indonesian men's volleyball national team coach Jeff Jiang Jie.
The Chinese tactician will collaborate with coach Reidel Alfonso Toiran and Ayip Rizal. In addition, a number of national team players also helped strengthen the team that had just left for Bahrain on Friday, May 12 this morning.
The national team players who joined included Farhan Halim, Hendra Kurniawan, Nizar Zulfikar, Hena Zulfi, and Hendra Kurniawan. These names have just brought Indonesia to win gold medals at the 2023 SEA Games in Cambodia.
Jakarta Team Manager Bhayangkara Presisi Inspector General Pol Pipit Rismanto hopes that the enthusiasm of the players who have just brought Indonesia to a gold medal in Cambodia can be maintained until Bahrain.
"I am optimistic. First, this team has an experienced head coach. Second, after winning the Cambodian SEA Games, of course, it brings extraordinary motivation. I am sure that the spirit of the champion was carried away yesterday. If possible, be the best," he said.
Meanwhile, as the main sponsor, Pertamina, represented by VP Corporate Communication Pertamina (Persero) Fadjar Djoko Santoso, congratulated and highly appreciated JBp who represented Indonesia competing in AVC 2023.
"Pertamina is committed to fully supporting the Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi team as the only Indonesian representative to compete in the Asian championship. We congratulate you on competing, hopefully our contribution can provide the best for the country," he said.
Overall, there are 16 teams competing in the prestigious volleyball championship between clubs. Bhayangkara had the opportunity to compete after the 2023 Jakarta Proliga champions LavAni Allo Bank decided to miss out.
Based on the results of the draw, Bhayangkara who enter Pool A will compete with three other teams, namely Alahli Sport Club (Bahrain), Korean Air Jumbos Pro-Volleyball Club (South Korea), and Canberra Heat (Australia).
