TNI AD Personnel Trapped In Case Of 52 Kg Of Marijuana Claims To Get Goods From Aceh By Land
BANTEN - The Banten Province National Narcotics Agency (BNN) gave an official statement regarding the arrest of a member of the Indonesian Army with the rank of Kopda M and a civilian with the initials PL on suspicion of possession of 52 kilograms of marijuana.
The head of the Banten BNN, Kombes Pol Rachmad Rasnova, said the arrests began with public reports about the circulation of marijuana-type drugs.
Based on the report, BNN and Customs and Excise conducted an investigation until they finally arrested the two perpetrators at boarding houses at the Soponasakti Islamic village, Jalan Islamic Raya, Soponasakti Complex, Kelapa Dua, Tangerang Regency, last Monday, May 1.
"A total of 52,015 grams that have been given code A, B, C and other narcotics evidence," Rachmad told reporters, Monday, May 8.
Based on the confessions to the two perpetrators, continued Rachmad, the illicit goods were obtained from Aceh which was taken by land.
"CARRYed in a four-wheeled vehicle from Aceh. So the item came first 1 day before the arrest and confession he only received 52,015 grams and only once. If the suspect's confession," he said.
The perpetrator has now been handed over to Pomdam Jaya and charged with a layered market.
"Article 114 paragraph 2 and/or Article 111 paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 132 paragraph 1 of Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. 35 of 2009 concerning narcotics," he said.
Previously, an individual member of the TNI AD Kopda M and a civil society was arrested by the Banten Province National Narcotics Agency (BNN) at the Soponasakti Islamic village boarding house, Jalan Islamic Raya, Soponasakti Complex, Kelapa Dua, Tangerang Regency.
Based on the information received, the TNI member was arrested along with a civilian with evidence that was secured 50 kilograms of marijuana.
Contacted separately, the Head of the Indonesian Army Information Service (Kadispenad) Brigadier General Hamim Tohari confirmed the arrest. He said Kopda N was arrested on Tuesday, May 2.
"It's true, mas, the alleged perpetrator from the TNI AD Kopda N has been arrested," said Hamim Tohari when confirmed by VOI, Wednesday, May 3.
Hamim also said that he had been taken to the Jayakarta Military Police or (Pomdam Jaya) for further action.
