Pelni Calls KM Sinabung For The ASEAN Summit Remaining Economic Class
LABUAN BAJO - PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia (Persero) or Pelni said the Sinabung Motor Ship (KM) free accommodation for the ASEAN 42nd Summit in Labuan Bajo, NTT, was left with beds or sheet for the economic class.
Director of Public Transportation Business Pelni Yahya Kuncoro at Labuan Bajo Port, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), Monday, explained that KM Sinabung provided five classes, namely 1A, namely one room with two sheets or a total of 64 sheets, all of which had been ordered.
"That's full (class 1A), register," Yahya said as quoted by Antara, Monday, May 8.
Then, class 1B, namely one room with four sheets, there are a total of 80 sheets, and all of them have been ordered.
Then, class 2A is one room with six sheets or a total of 252 sheets, and class 2B, namely one room with eight sheets with a total of 112 sheets, all of which have been ordered.
Meanwhile, according to Yahya, for the economic class or shared bedroom available 1,368 sheets, it is ordered 798 sheets to date, so that the remaining 570 sheets remain.
Pelni provides KM Sinabung as a free accommodation during the ASEAN Summit on May 6 to 12, 2023 in Labuan Bajo, NTT.
"KM Sinabung is a passenger ship with a capacity of 2,000 passengers, who was assigned by the Ministry of Transportation as a floating accommodation, to make the ASEAN Summit a success," said Yahya.
While in Labuan Bajo, KM Sinabung was intended as free accommodation, especially for state civil servants (ASN), reporters/media, and security forces on duty.
KM Sinabung, which serves the Surabaya-Makassar-Baubau-Banggai-Bitung-Ternate-Bacun-Manokwari-Biak-Jayapura route, will return to normal operations starting May 13, 2023 from Makassar.
