MA Kabulkan Lawsuit For Repair Of Muara Sabak Jambi Bridge Rp12 Billion As A Result Of Being Hit By A Ship
JAMBI - The Supreme Court (MA) finally granted a lawsuit from the manager of the Muara Sabak Bridge in Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency, Jambi, after going through a long legal process to demand compensation of Rp12 billion for the damage to the bridge due to being hit by a tugboat (delay ship) owned by the company PT Sumber Cipta Moda (SCM). Head of the Tanjung Jabung Timur District Attorney's Office (Kajari) Yenita Sari, said that the lawsuit for repairing the bridge had permanent legal force or inkrah after the application process was granted by the Supreme Court and now an execution effort is being prepared between the district government and the local prosecutor. "Therefore, the East Tanjung Jabung District Attorney submitted a proposal to the Supreme Court so that there were assets confiscated in this case and the proposal was in progress," said Yenita, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, May 4.
He said this case would continue to be guarded until the defendant paid compensation of Rp12 billion in accordance with the decision of the Supreme Court. The compensation for the damage to the Muara Sabak bridge rolled, after the tugboat containing palm oil (CPO) belonging to PT SCM hit the bridge's ferry post on September 7, 2014. As a result of this incident, there was a shift on the east side of the bridge.
