Hundreds Of Companies In Jakarta Haven't Paid Employee THR, Economic Signs Due To Unhealthy Pandemic
JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has received reports from hundreds of companies in the capital that have not paid the Eid al-Fitr 1444 Hijri holiday allowance (THR) to their employees.
Head of the DKI Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration and Energy Agency (Disnakertransgi) Hari Nugroho said this condition shows that the economy in Jakarta has not fully recovered after the COVID-19 pandemic, in addition to the large number of companies standing in the capital city.
"If we are not healthy, we will end the pandemic period, right. So, it means that we are just starting to walk, we will continue to be burdened. That's why they also think (to pay the THR)," Hari told reporters, Wednesday, May 3.
Hari said, as many as 432 companies have reportedly not paid THR for employees so far. Of these, only 46 companies have been processed. The rest, the Disnakertangi team is still examining these companies.
Some of them promised to distribute THR in the future. However, there are also companies that have not been able to provide certainty about this year's THR distribution.
"There are (companies) who bid if they can be paid half, some claim they can't pay. Well, it's our job to complete it in order to get the best finish," explained Hari.

Hari said there were still around 30 companies that had not been examined related to the case of delays in THR distribution, in addition to the 260 companies that were still being processed.
From the composition of around 1,600 companies in Jakarta, at least 100 people have been supervised by the Manpower and Transmigration Office. However, the number of teams currently working is only half.
"The supervisory team from the joint service and service tribe in our Manpower Office lacks human resources. The ideal number is 100, but our exiting condition is 50. Then tomorrow there will be 9 people who retire. In fact, in order to solve this problem, it must be supported by human resources," said Hari.
