Cambodia 2023 SEA Games Football: Thailand Silences Singapore 3-1

JAKARTA - Thailand's U-22 football national team won three points after beating Singapore 3-1 in the opening match of Group B of the 2023 Cambodia SEA Games at the Phnom Penh National Stadium, Sunday.

Thailand, which came with the best line-up, immediately took the initiative to attack the Singapore national team defense from the start.

In the 30th minute Thailand doubled the position through a combination of one-two-touch passes, German club academy player Augsburg Achitpol Keerearom managed to convert it into a goal.

Singapore almost equalized one minute with a shot outside the penalty box pushed over by Thai goalkeeper Soponwit.
