Reason Lars Ulrich Reads Comments On Metallica On Social Media: Wants To See Feedback

JAKARTA - Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich admits he sometimes reads comments about his band on social media.

In an interview with Metal Hammer, Lars said he occasionally reads social media comments about his band music online.

In the interview, he said he read what online fans said about their comeback single surprise, Lux 11, last year.

If you decide to go down to the comments section, at least for me, you have to prepare yourself not to take it too personally. You have to remove yourself from that," said Lars.

"But I want to challenge anyone in a band to say they don't see any comments," continued the drummer.

I mean, I'm not going to sit until four in the morning to read everything. But when you don't put out any music in five or six years and you throw something like Lux Laugherna into an suspicious world, you want to see what the feedback is.

Last year, Metallica announced the details of a new album, 72 Seasons, and a massive world tour for 2023 and 2024.
