Smart#3: New Electric SUV Ready To Enliven Shanghai Auto Show
JAKARTA - A car manufacturer from Germany, Smart Automobile, which is owned by both Mercedes-Benz and Geely, will soon release the latest Smart #3 electric coup SUV.
The Smart #3 is designed by Gordon Wagener, adopting a design from Smart #1 with a muscular but sporty look. The front light appears with a smooth surface and width so that at first glance it is similar to the Mercedes EQ.
Smart #3 has a length dimension of 4,400 mm, a width of 1,800 mm, a height of 1,600 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,785 mm. The size is similar to Volkswagen ID.4.
The standard car is equipped with a single motorbike that can power 264 dk and 341 Nm. Smart #3 will also release the highest variant with two electric motors from Brabus Performance, which provides more power.
It is possible that Smart #3 will use the same battery as Smart#1 model, namely a 66 kWh nickel-manganese-cobalt battery that can cover a distance of 439 km and a charge of 150 kW.
The car will officially launch on the Shanghai Auto Show in April, as reported by Autocar, Monday, March 27. And attend the same class as Ford Explorer, Jeep Fighter, and Mini Aceman
Smart #3 is sold for the Chinese market at the end of the year and is expected to debut on the European automotive market in 2024.
