Honda Civic Type R Releases In Australia, Appears More Premium
JAKARTA - One of Honda's newest flagship cars, the Civic Type R 2023, officially entered the Australian automotive market. This high-performance Civic offers some interesting things for customers.
Reporting from Carscoops, Saturday, March 25, Civic has recently appeared more premium than the previous edition. The latest Civic engine has a light die-cast aluminum block with a strengthened main pad cap. The engine also has super lightweight steel pistons and an improved i-VTEC engine system.
Civic Type R 2023 is claimed to be the most powerful Type R type, of course the performance offered is not kidding. With a turbocharged 4-cylinder 2.0 liter engine, the car can produce 315 dk or 235 kW of power and 420 Nm of torque.
This powered engine is coupled to a six-acceleration manual transmission equipped with an automatic rev-matching feature and delivers power through the front wheels. The presence of a differential helical-type limited-slip, can help place power on the ground effectively.
In the legs, the Civic Type R has a Sticky Michelin Pilot 4S with a size of 265/30 R19 which makes the car look good.
Moving to the interior, Civic Type R is equipped with a red seat and carpet, then marked with a red Honda logo on the steering wheel and Type R on the dashboard.
Not to forget, the entertainment features embedded in the Civic Type R include a 9-inch infotainment screen with the Android Auto system, Apple CarPlay without cables, Bluetooth, satellite navigation, USB link, to data recorder.
Meanwhile, other features are complementary to the Civic Type R which helps motorists, such as 10.2-inch digital instrument clusters, traffic sign recognition systems, smart speed barriers, driver monitors, acoustic windshields, and customizable rearview mirrors.
For the Australian market, Honda offers 4 color choices for Civic Type R, namely rally red, cryptal black, champion white, and sonic gray. There, Civic Type R is sold for 72,600 Australian dollars or around Rp. 732.4 million OTR. This price is slightly above the Toyota GR Corolla which sells for 68,000 Australian dollars or around Rp. 686.2 million OTR.
