Michael Schumacher's Ferrari Car Is Auctioned Again
JAKARTA - The Ferrari F1-2000 with a chassis 198 that has been driven by the best racer of all time, Michael Schumacher, will be auctioned by the RM Sotheby auction institute.
Ferrari F1-2000 with the chassis 198 once led Schumacher to the 2000 world title and will be auctioned off on April 3-12.
This car had an interesting story, initially only a spare car for Schumi, but when it was used in qualifying at the Brazilian GP it took him to the 3rd starting position and ended up winning the race. Schumacher also drove this car at the Spanish GP and the Monaco GP before finally winning the world title.
RM Sotheby's Global Head of Private Sales, Total Myers, quoted from Carscoops, Wednesday, March 22 as saying that the auction house has an unmatched track record in auctioning F1 cars, especially the Ferrari cars driven by Michael Schumacher.
Previously, RM Sotheby had also auctioned F2003-GA and F2001 cars which played a major role in Schumacher's journey to win the world title 7 times. The F2003-GA car even became the most valuable Formula 1 car in the modern era that had been sold at the Sotheby Luxury Week auction in Geneva in 2022 for around IDR 241.5 billion.
With a proven track record, RM Sotheby believes that this Ferrari F1-2000 with a 198 chassis will be the target of car collectors and F1 racing enthusiasts around the world. It is predicted that Ferrari F1-2000 with a 198 chassis will reach a fantastic price at auction.
