Yudha Febrian Regrets Clubbing And Accepts Barito's Decision To Send Him To The Pesantren
JAKARTA - The player Barito Putera M. Yudha Febrian regrets the disciplinary attitude that caused him to be dropped from the Indonesian U-19 national team and will accept the club's decision to send him to a pesantren in West Java.
Previously, Yudha and players from Bhayangkara Solo FC Serdy Ephy Fano were caught on camera clubbing at a nightclub. At that time, they both were still undergoing training camp with the U-19 national team.
While undergoing a morning training session, Yudha and Serdy were late and it was found out that they had just returned to the hotel at around 03.00 WIB. Coach Shin Tae-yong, who was furious, immediately crossed out the two of them from the list of players who followed the TC.
"I am very grateful, Alhamdulillah, for the kindness of Barito Putera's management in addressing the problem I did," Yudha said as quoted by Antara from the club's official website in Jakarta, Tuesday.
"I promise that after this coaching program I will not do the same thing. I am very sorry that this case was caused by my own fault," he added.
Barito's management hopes that while at the Islamic boarding school, Yudha can reflect on his mistakes and restore the mentality that had slumped. Even so, Yudha will still be provided with independent training by bringing in a special coaching team to accompany him.
Yudha also admitted that he brought some supplies when he was going to undergo mental training from the spiritual side. Apart from his religious equipment, the Laskar Antasari defender also brought his training equipment.
“The management and coaching team made me a training program to keep the conditions there. Later there will also be a coach from Barito Putera who will accompany me while practicing at the pesantren, "he said.
Meanwhile, Yudha's friend and relative, Ridwan Awaludin hopes that Yudha can learn a lesson from his mistakes, because it is very unfortunate that the opportunity to appear in the U-19 Asian Cup and U-20 World Cup was wasted.
Ridwan, who had defended Persebaya and then decided to retire early, said that the player from Bogor had great potential to penetrate the U-19 national team's core squad.
However, the fatal mistake of being in an entertainment venue and being late for morning training had to be paid handsomely by the Garuda Select dropout player.
"I am so concerned about this incident that he has to be disciplined. He may not be able to set his emotions in a negative direction. What I know is that since Yudha was summoned by the U-19 and Garuda Select national team, he was always at the core so it is very unfortunate," he said.
"Hopefully he can reflect on his mistakes and not do things that can harm himself in the future. Unfortunately, he has great potential," he added.
