Dragged Into The Alleged Corruption Case Edhy Prabowo, Hashim And Sara Ready To Be Investigated By The KPK
JAKARTA - Businessman and the younger brother of Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto, Hashim Djojohadikusumo, is ready to be questioned by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) regarding the alleged bribery of lobster seed export permits that ensnared former Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Edhy Prabowo.
"Of course, of course (ready to be summoned by the KPK)," he said in a press conference, at the Jet Sky Cafe, Pantai Mutiara, Penjaringan, North Jakarta, Friday, December 4.
If indeed the KPK needs information regarding the lobster seed export case, Hashim ensures that he will cooperate and fulfill the summons.
Not only himself, Hashim even invited the KPK to examine his son, Rahayu Saraswati, who is the President Director of PT Bima Sakti Mutiara or now named PT Bima Sakti Bahari.
"If invited or called we will fulfill it, we have no problem," he said.
On the same occasion, Hashim Djojohadikusumo's attorney, Hotman Paris, said that the KPK would only summon parties who were indeed related to the suspected lobster seed bribery case.
Hotman said that his clients Hashim and Sarah were claimed to be safe and there was no evidence that the company belonging to the Djojohadikusumo family was indicated to have been involved in the corruption committed by Edhy Prabowo.
"The KPK only calls if there is a connection, if there is evidence of an indication that this company is playing in the export business. Or we know how to bribe people, (Hashim's company) has no permit. We respect the KPK," said Hotman.
Hotman also emphasized that PT Bhima Sakti Mutiara or now named PT Bima Sakti Bahari owned by Hashim and Sarah had nothing to do with the corruption case of fry export that was investigated by the KPK. The reason is, to this day the company has not received a lobster seed export permit and there has been no attempt to bribe it in issuing the permit.
"The point is that Mr. Edhy's arrest on suspicion of bribery regarding the export of these fry has nothing to do with the Hashim family company. Because the permit has not been obtained until now," he said.
In his explanation, Hotman said that the company owned by Hashim still needed equipment to obtain a permit to export lobster seeds. However, he admitted, the company had already obtained a permit for lobster cultivation.
The 4 more certificates that PT Bima Sakti Mutiara must fulfill in order to obtain an export permit are, first, a certificate of having conducted lobster cultivation for exporters.
Second, fish quarantine installation certificate. The third is a certificate of good nursery practices and the fourth is a letter determining the time of release.
"It hasn't been given, it's still waiting. It doesn't have a complete export permit. It means that it has never exported. So there is nothing at all. It's too straight. So other people can, but Hashim's family can't," he explained.
