Independent Isolation After Exposing COVID-19, Incumbent Idris Participates In The Virtual Depok Regional Election Debate

JAKARTA - Depok mayor candidate who is also the incumbent Mohammad Idris cannot participate in the Depok regional election debate directly in the television studio. Idris underwent the Depok Pilkada debate virtually because he was in independent isolation after being exposed to COVID-19.

"Thank God I am healthy based on the negative PCR swab results. However, I followed the isolation provisions and health protocols and maintained a comfortable and peaceful atmosphere for all of us, so I debated virtually, ”said Idris in the Depok Pilkada debate broadcast on YouTube by the Depok City KPU, Friday, December 4.

Idris who 'appeared' on the debate stage via television beside his partner, Imam Budi Hartono, first expressed his gratitude to the acting mayor of Depok. Not to forget, Idris also thanked Depok residents who participated in contributing to the progress and togetherness of Depok City.

"Some now (admit) that they do not feel the progress of Depok City, even though we all feel the progress of Depok is not just a discourse," said Idris.

Idris explained that Depok has a diverse population of backgrounds. Idris-Imam Budi emphasized the commitment to build religious human resources in Depok.

“A culture based on diversity and family resilience. Of course, the quality of human resource development is influenced by the factor of educational justice. Thanks to the grace of Allah SWT and cooperation, Depok's human development index continues to increase until 80.82 in 2019, "he explained.

In addition, Idris boasts of achieving 1,128 school infrastructure. This number makes Depok superior to a number of districts / cities in West Java.

"Depok also has a good index in terms of religious harmony," he said.

Pradi Sindir Wacana and Claims Progress in Depok

Meanwhile, candidate pair number 1 Pradi Supriatna-Afifah Alia said Depok has a good future and hopes. But unfortunately the management according to Pradi is not good.

"Unfortunately, for almost 15 years and even the last 5 years, it seems that this development has not been carried out properly. In the second debate, candidate pair number 2 conveyed a lot of rhetoric, appreciation that was not felt by the public, claims for things that were not done, "said Pradi in the Depok Pilkada debate.

Pradi, who is also deputy mayor of Depok, questioned Idris' claims about developments in Depok City such as the people's hall and soccer field.

"However, it was built almost 20 years ago," he said.

Through the third Depok Pilkada debate, Pradi wanted the public to know the solution program for the problems in Depok City. Starting from congestion, education, health, including labor.

"Currently, the city of Depok needs a one-word leader with deeds, not a leader who is busy with discourse and likes to collect with abbreviations. We are number 1 here to offer changes and are committed to improving the city of Depok in the next 5 years, "said Pradi.
