Involved In The Burning Of Intan Jaya Rumdinkes, 8 TNI Personnel Become Suspects

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Army Military Police Center (Puspomad) named eight unscrupulous soldiers of the Indonesian Army as suspects in the burning of the Health Service House in Hitadipa District, Intan Jaya, Papua on Saturday, 19 October.

"Based on the results of the examination of witnesses and evidence, the investigators concluded and named 8 suspects," said Puspomad Commander Lt. Gen. Dodik Wijanarko in a press conference at Puspomad Headquarters, Jakarta, as reported by Antara, Thursday, November 12.

The eight suspects were Captain Inf SA, Letda Inf KT, Serda MFA, Serda S, Serda ISF, Kopda DP, Pratu MI, and Prada MH. The suspects were suspected of violating Article 187 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code and Article 55 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.

Determination of the suspect was based on the results of the investigation and investigation by a joint team consisting of Puspomad, the Army Intelligence Unit (Sintelad), the Army Intelligence Center (Pusintelad) and the Indonesian Army Legal Directorate (Ditkumad) with the XVII / Cenderawasih Kodam team.

They examined 11 members of the Indonesian Army and 1 civilian. Dodik also said that investigators were still finalizing the results of their investigations.

"Currently the Joint Team and Kodam XVII / cenderawasih are completing the case files and if they meet the formal and material requirements, they will immediately be delegated to the Jayapura Military III-19 Oditur," said Dodik.

As a result of the burning, it caused a loss of Rp1.3 billion. Currently, this loss is being handled by the Indonesian Army.

Head of the Army Engineering Center (Kapusziad) Maj. Gen. TNI Mohammad Munib added that the Indonesian Army will be responsible for the damage suffered.

According to orders from the Chief of Army Staff (KSAD), General TNI Andika Perkasa, the Health Service House will be rebuilt at a cost borne by the TNI AD.

"We will deploy 30 people to rebuild the house, which is inhabited by the six heads of families. Then we estimate that 30 people will be completed within 90 working days or in three months. Because this is urgent, so our plans starting next week are already in action. there are already rebuilding activities, "he said.
