Heavy Rainfall In Nunukan Due To Philippine Cyclone
JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) Nunukan said that the cyclone that occurred in the Philippines had affected the high rainfall in Nunukan Regency, North Kalimantan.
Prakirawan BMKG Nunukan, Jamingi said based on observations the rainfall in Nunukan Regency in the last week was higher than the same period in 2019.
"The intensity of high rain has occurred since August and will continue until November," 2020, "said Jamigi to reporters, as reported by Antara, Tuesday, November 3.
According to observations via the BMKG Nunukan satellite, rainfall in the area can reach 200 millimeters and generally occurs at night starting at 8:30 p.m.
However, since the last two days, the rainfall has begun to decline with less heavy intensity, although it continues, especially at night due to the decreasing cyclones in the Philippines.
He added that the existence of strong winds in three areas in Nunukan Regency was due to the presence of La Nina.
