Police Arrest Curanmor Gang, One Person Was Shot Dead
JAKARTA - The police have arrested a gang of motorbike thieves who often take action in the Jakarta and Bekasi areas. Of the four people who were arrested, one of them was shot dead.
Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Yusri Yunus said that the three suspects arrested were FY (21) RE (27) and T (35). Meanwhile, one suspect died with the initials MS (20).
"MS was given measured decisive action and passed away," Yusri told reporters, Wednesday, October 28.
The members of this conspiracy have different roles. For the suspects MS and RE acted as executors. Then FY as a jockey and oversee the location. Meanwhile, T is a carrier and a motorcycle to be taken to Lampung.
"Of the four suspects, we are still chasing one more person with the initials I," he said.
In their action, this gang uses the mode of mapping the target location in advance. In addition, they always act in times of quiet activity. In fact, when they were in action they equipped themselves with homemade firearms.
"The action was carried out when things were quiet from 13.00 to 18.00 WIB. They thought that there was little activity at that time," said Yusri
"In carrying out the action the perpetrator equips himself with a firearm and does not hesitate to injure the victim if the victim finds out," he continued.
Meanwhile, regarding their arrests, they were arrested at Pasir Angin Village RT 003 / RW 03 Al-Almien Mushola Gang, Cileungsi District, Bogor Regency, West Java, Monday, October 26.
The suspects are charged under Article 363 of the Criminal Code and Article 1 paragraph (1) of the Emergency Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 12 of 1951, with a maximum imprisonment of 20 years.
