Disney Plus, New Breakthrough From Disney
JAKARTA - Today, November 12, the Disney Plus streaming application is officially circulating to the public. Not to forget, Disney Plus was also released in the Indonesian version so that we can access this streaming service without using a third link. Disney Plus has a collection of entertainment shows from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic. This is shown on the main screen of the Disney Plus website.
The presence of Disney Plus is a new competitor for streaming services such as Netflix, Apple TV, and HBO Now which have already been released. Previously, Disney owned Hulu and ESPN Plus but Disney Plus's target will be wider than the two streaming services. For the subscription price, Disney Plus gives a tag of 7 US dollars or Rp. 98 thousand per month. Meanwhile, for one year the amount is 70 US dollars or equivalent to Rp984 thousand. This price is relatively cheap seeing Disney's diverse collections and targeting any age level.
Conscious of the anticipating fans, Disney is bringing you exclusively The Mandalorian, a spin-off from Star Wars. In addition, there are High School Musical: The Series and The Lady and Tramp. Several Disney-produced short films also come out in an awesome app.
Currently, there is no specific application for accessing Disney Plus. However, you can later access Disney Plus from any Apple app including iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV, Google devices such as Android and Chromecast, Microsoft Xbox One, PS4, Roku, and Amazon Fire TV.
In July, the president of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, said that Marvel's presence in Disney Plus would be a fun fan-service for fans. Both characters and Marvel Cinematic Universe feature films will be present at Disney Plus in the form of feature films or series. What an interesting surprise.
With the release of Disney Plus, it is very likely that Disney films will leave Netflix starting this year. However, they confirmed that the agreement with Netflix will work accordingly so that the last Disney film on Netflix is Mary Poppins Returns, while Captain Marvel will be the first film to enter the Disney Plus list.
No Controversy
Disney Plus has announced that it will not screen any controversial scenes or films. One of the most horrendous, the film Song of the South which was released in 1946. Since its early release, this film received criticism as a racist and offensive film. A scene from the movie Dumbo is also rumored not to be shown. Disney Plus wants their service to be a positive place for fans.
Glitch On First Release
Just released today, a number of Disney Plus users complained of glitches and errors so they couldn't access Disney Plus. Later, Disney wrote this on their Twitter account; “Consumer demand for Disney + has exceeded our high expectations. We are working to quickly resolve user issues. We appreciate your patience. "

Ghibli who moved from Disney +
Studio Ghibli, the production house for Japanese cartoon films, had said that it would not include its films on streaming services. However, all changed when Koji Hoshino, director of Studio Ghibli chose to include the film Ghibli on HBO Max.
In 1996, Disney became the official distributor for Studio Ghibli worldwide. Then, in 2017, the Studio Ghibli catalog was officially sold to GKids. But, now, HBO Max has official access to Studio Ghibli films such as My Neighbor Totoro, Kiki's Delivery Service. Disney Plus wants to strengthen competition with other streaming services.
