JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works (PU) has completed the construction of the Hilir Phase I SPAM Regional Jatiluhur I system in West Java Province. This water infrastructure is used to serve the drinking water of people in Jakarta and its surroundings.
The Jatiluhur Regional SPAM Downstream Phase I System is projected to have a bulk drinking water capacity of 4,750 liters per second of water with a beneficiary service of around 380,000 Home Connections (SR).
The construction of the Downstream Phase I SPAM Regional Jatiluhur I system will begin to be carried out by the Ministry of Public Works in July 2023 with a target of completion on December 18, 2024.
The infrastructure support built includes the construction of a transmission pipeline network and distribution of the DC Pondok Kopi system, offtake center east, reservoir DC Pondok Kopi and reservoir DC Cilincing, transmission pipeline network DC Cilincing segment 1, segment 2 and segment 3 as well as pipeline network distribution of the DC Cilincing system.
The Downstream Phase I SPAM Regional Jatiluhur I system utilizes raw water from the western tarum channel of the Jatiluhur Dam which is channeled through the Bekasi Water Processing Installation (IPA) with a capacity of 4,400 liters per second and distributed through the off-take center east.
The construction of infrastructure in the Downstream Phase I SPAM Regional Jatiluhur I system is carried out by the Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Settlement Infrastructure Agency (BPPW) through 7 work packages.
