PTPP Confirms Not To Be Involved In The 2016-2017 Mandala Krida Stadium Corruption Case: It's Not Our Project

Previously, it was reported by the media about the corruption case against the Mandala Krida Stadium Construction Project, which is an APBD project for the 2016-2017 budget year for the Yogyakarta Special Region Government. The KPK has processed the law by naming three suspects in the project development case.

On October 16, 2023, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) summoned 2 witnesses for the development of an investigation, one of which was Novel Arsyad. The summons of these two witnesses is a continuation of the KPK's announcement on the development of the 2016-2017 Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) corruption case on March 21, 2023.

Responding to the summons of the President Director of PTPP in this case, Corporate Secretary of Bakhtiyar Efendi on Saturday, October 21, 2023 stated that the Mandala Krida Stadium Project was not a project carried out by PTPP. In fact, according to him, PTPP did not follow the procurement process for the project.

"This case has been going on for quite a long time, namely in 2016, at which time he had not served at PTPP. We also conveyed that in 2016, his company was not selected as the implementing contractor for the Mandala Krida Stadium Project. The company he led was only involved as a tender participant who was declared defeated by other contractors," said Efendi.

Regarding the summons as a witness by the KPK on Monday, October 16, 2023, Efendi also said that as a law-abiding citizen, President Director Novel Arsyadi had attended according to a summons from the KPK on Monday, October 16, 2023 and had also provided the necessary information.

"The agenda is completed around 11.00 pm. PTPP and the ranks of the Board of Directors and Staff are committed to supporting law enforcement efforts carried out by the KPK and complying with all applicable laws and regulations," concluded Efendi.
