Wow, PLN Greater Jakarta Development UMK Wins 76 Million Turnover At The 2023 Inacraft Exhibition

JAKARTA - The encouraging results were achieved by the UMK assisted by the Greater Jakarta Main Distribution Unit (UID) at Inacraft 2023 (The Jakarta International Handicraft Trade Fair) which took place at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Gelora Bung Karno (GBK), Senayan. They recorded a turnover of IDR 76 million.

At the event which was held on October 4-8, 2023, MSMEs assisted by the Greater Jakarta UMK Hub achieved total sales of 76 million rupiah. This is the highest sales among other MSMEs assisted by PLN.

A total of 4 MSMEs Hub UMK Jakarta joined Inacraft 2023. Among them, UMK Batikalf who sells betawi cap clothes and batik, Jenaka UMK sells clothes from typical Indonesian fabrics, Zee Collection UMK sells shoes, bags, and nusantara cloth using the eco print method, and Ichinogami UMK sells various papercrafts with unique characters.

Rezki Rangkuti, the owner of the Jenaka MSME, revealed that he is very happy that his products can be sold on Inacraft.

"I'm very happy to be fostered by PLN, I can appear on Inacraft because I've been wanting to join Inacraft for a long time. I'm getting more and more enthusiastic about new designs. Hopefully next year Inacraft can join again," said Rezki.

Inacraft is an annual event among handicraft craftsmen and craft observers organized by the Indonesian Handicraft Exporters and Producers Association (ASEPHI). Not only that, Inacraft is also the largest handicraft exhibition in Asia.

General Manager of PLN UID Jakarta Raya Lasiran revealed that PLN continues to support MSMEs fostered by PLN so that it can continue to grow and increase its sales turnover.

"MSMEs have an important role in improving the Indonesian economy, starting from increasing people's income, creating job opportunities, to becoming a place of innovation and creativity. Therefore, PLN always supports MSME activities that can bring benefits to the surroundings," said Lasiran General Manager of PLN UID Jakarta Raya.
