JAKARTA - The Indonesian government offers investment opportunities for the green sector and digital transformation through the Indonesia Investment Forum (IIF) 2023 in London on October 5 to the UK.
"The point of developing investment in the green sector, digital transformation, and sustainable trade and supply chains, we are collaborating with Bank Indonesia and the Indonesia Investment Promotion Center (IIPC) London to hold the Indonesia Investment Forum (IIF) 2023 in London," said the Indonesian Embassy in London in a written statement reported by ANTARA, Saturday, September 23.
IIF 2023 is an annual event featuring and promoting the Indonesian investment landscape and Investment Projects Ready to Offer (IPRO).
The forum will be enriched with a "business matching" session featuring selected IPRO projects out of eleven sectors, including renewable energy, electric, digital vehicles, infrastructure and transportation, and tourism.
The Indonesian Ambassador to Great Britain Desra Percaya hopes that the 2023 IIF will support closer investment cooperation between the two countries.
"Especially considering the value of Indonesia-British investments which continue to experience a stable increase, in line with Indonesia's significant position in the global economic arena," said Desra.
According to the Indonesian Embassy in London, UK investment in Indonesia will reach 822 million US dollars in 2022 and this is the tenth largest foreign investment in Indonesia.
IIF 2023 is also the opening of a series of Indonesian Experience activities consisting of cultural arts performances and exhibitions of MSME products 'Indonesian Night' on October 5, as well as the "Experience Indonesia Dublin" event, which was the first Indonesian cultural arts show to be held in Ireland in the last five years.
Last year, Experience Indonesia managed to attract 4,000 visitors in three days and resulted in a cooperation agreement worth more than 75 million US dollars.
Around 20 people confirmed that they were present as resource persons for IIF 2023 and would talk about the prospects and potential for the Indonesian-UK economic partnership.
In addition, there are panelists from among banks and businessmen from Indonesia, England and Europe.
