Sewindu Infrastructure In Jokowi's Hands, Build Anything?

The government of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has recorded that it has completed eight years of infrastructure development, starting from 2015 to 2022.

During that period, the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) confirmed that the total APBN funds that had been disbursed were not less than Rp2,778 trillion.

The President himself stated that the completion of infrastructure programs, especially those included in the National Strategic Project (PSN), was able to have an impact on the national economy and increase competitiveness.

"This boosts our competitiveness, our competitiveness is increasing. Based on the International Institute for Management Development, our competitiveness in 2022 was ranked 44 years ago, we have ranked 34th, the 10th increase is the highest increase in the world and one of them is because of infrastructure matters that we can solve a lot," said the Head of State in the middle of this week.

Based on VOI's search, in two windu of President Jokowi's term, there was an additional toll road operating from the previous 801 kilometers to 2,687 kilometers.

Then, the capacity of the power plant increased to 81.2 giga watts from the previous 53 giga watts in 2014. Then, the airport increased by 50 locations to 287 locations.

Next is the addition of public roads from 517,750 kilometers to 549,160 kilometers, dam capacity extends more than double to 16.96 billion cubic. As well as ports that increased from 1,655 units in 2014 to 3,157 units by the end of 2022.

VOI noted that next year the government will allocate an infrastructure budget of IDR 422.7 trillion. This figure is already included in the 2024 State Budget Bill (RUU) which is currently still under discussion with the DPR.
