JAKARTA - Pertamina Patra Niaga's President Director, Riva Siahaan, revealed that his party is still investigating the findings of water wells belonging to residents polluted with fuel oil (BBM) in Pengasinan Village, Gunung Sindur, Bogor Regency, West Java.
Riva explained that his party had sent a Pertamina Health Safety Security & Environment (HSSE) team to investigate the findings.
From the reports received from the HSSE team, he stated that the position of the residents' wells was higher than the nearest gas station.
"Now the efforts made are to stop the distribution through the gas station," said Riva in response to a member of Commission VII DPR Mulyanto in the RDP, Wednesday, September 13.
Riva said Pertamina continues to investigate more broadly to see if there is a potential for hoarding fuel around the well location.
"We did this together not only with Law Enforcement Officials (APH) but with the Forensic Laboratory Center (Puslabfor) of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police," explained Riva.
The joint team continues to monitor the findings in the field. He said that only one well was contaminated with fuel.
"And the fuel is clear, it doesn't look like there is a leak or there is a seepage. This is the fuel if taken with the Forensic Laboratory", Riva continued.
