Ministry Of PUPR: Palace Construction At IKN Completed Before RI's Anniversary In 2024

The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing of the Republic of Indonesia (PUPR) said that the construction of the presidential palace and government buildings in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN) was completed before the anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia in 2024.

"Currently, the progress of the construction of the Indonesian Presidential Palace and government buildings for batch one has reached more than 46 percent," said PUPR Ministry Secretary General Mohammad Zainal Fatah, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, September 12.

Likewise with the construction of other government buildings such as the four Coordinating Ministry buildings, which are also targeted to be completed before August 17, 2024.

Based on data from the PUPR ministry as of August 17, 2023, the realization of the construction of the State Palace building and the ceremonial field at the presidential palace area in the nation's capital reached 22.135 percent.

Meanwhile, the realization of the construction of the Presidential office building was 27.525 percent, the preparation of the Central Government Core Area (KIPP) phase II reached 92.250 percent,

As well as the construction of buildings and offices of the coordinating ministry one 12.78 percent, the coordinating ministry three 10.429 percent and the coordinating ministry four 15.135 percent.

Previously, President Joko Widodo said that the seconds of the proclamation of the 79th Indonesian Independence Day were held at IKN Nusantara, East Kalimantan.

"God willing. Next year it will be at IKN. We'll see," said the president.
